The manhunt in Warren County is over and the suspect is in custody.
Authorities say the suspect, identified as William Charles Carroll.
The MHP SWAT team used a flash bang and other non-lethal tactics to get the suspect to surrender after four hours of negotiations. He was reportedly armed with an automatic weapon with a 30-round clop.
The manhunt started when the suspect fled a traffic stop and crashed his Toyota truck near the Flowers exit Tuesday night. He fled the truck and ran into the woods.
Hinds County deputies and state troopers had reportedly tried to stop the man after receiving reports of him selling drugs.
