Trooper Steve Crawford working the radio room.Over the July 4th weekend, MSTA Board Member and Trooper Steve Crawford was injured in a grilling accident at his home. Apparently, he lit the gas grill and came back to discover that the fire was not burning. Not realizing that the gas was still turned on, he tried to relight the gas grill when it exploded. The resulting explosion blew the lid off the grill and caused 2nd degree burns over his chest and arms. Steve was home for only a few days to recover after receiving medical attention for his burns. He is now back 10-8 and working temporarily in the radio room at Troop M until he fully heals from the burns. Given that he’s recovering so nicely, already back at work, and feeling better - one cannot help but make note of the fact that everybody knows charcoal is much better than gas! Besides, we heard that only real men cook with charcoal… Just kidding Steve! We’re glad that you’re feeling better and back at work. Here’s hoping for a continued, speedy, full recovery!
